Avi Spa is a project that has became the epitome of tranquility and peace, a perfect place for a good spa experience. The stillness, simplicity and silence fuse within a contemplative space to create a refuge for elements of solitude, allowing the body and mind to come into a state consensus, balance and peace. This contemporary ‘peranakan’ inspired spa will definitely provide new experience of rejuvenation for the visitors.
The double storey building sits at the tip furthest from the Avillion Resort, allowing the best view of the Straits of Malacca into the building. The design of the spa integrated a vernacular contemporary style to blend with the surrounding resort but yet creating its own statement with its white colour facade.
An eye-catching architectural structure of stark glass and white-washed wood building seemingly afloat on the shores of Port Dickson. The juxtapose of materials compliment each other to create a visually elegant and lightweight structure. The large usage of glass blurs the indoor outdoor dichotomy through bringing the nature into the building, giving the visitors a full sea view spa experience and relaxation.
Api Spa is carefully design to ensure every decision made fulfills the practical criteria of the building in an aesthetic way..
Huge glass panels, that allows panoramic views also allows more light entering the building, thus reducing the energy consumption of the building. The usage of high quality timber is also a sustainable approach by preventing building heat absorption and ease maintenance.
The water element that surrounds the outdoor lounge area creates an illusion of the lounge submerging into the sea while it serves as a safety and security barrier between the building and the surrounding.
